Wizard: Simplifying Home Services for Everyone

At Wizard, our mission is to alleviate the stress of finding reliable help by offering a carefully vetted selection of home services and coordinating multiple solutions for homeowners. We focus on supporting individuals and family-run businesses, particularly those with limited resources compared to larger competitors. Many of these smaller providers struggle with operating costs and customer reach, which is why we prioritize their success.

The idea for Wizard emerged when co-founder Janet experienced challenges finding trustworthy services during her home renovation. After hiring a handyman who was facing financial difficulties, she felt compelled to create a platform that would uplift struggling service providers while delivering quality home services to the community. Together with two friends, Janet founded Wizard to offer a comprehensive range of house-call services.

Our offerings include 17 distinct services such as handyman work, plumbing, electrical repairs, air conditioning servicing, gardening, massage therapy, and babysitting, among others. Each service provider undergoes a thorough interview and skills assessment before joining our network. We encourage ongoing feedback from customers and providers to ensure quality and satisfaction.

To maintain transparency, we provide clear fixed prices for straightforward services like home cleaning and massage therapy. For more complex tasks, customers can submit photos or schedule assessments for accurate quotes. This approach ensures that our clients can confidently engage the right services for their needs, whether for personal use or rental property approvals.
